Customer Service Engineer

NCE Computer Group, a global service provider specializing in Data Center Service and Repair solutions, is looking to strengthen our US Service Team. We have an immediate need for a Customer Service Engineer.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of two years technical experience computer hardware repair servers, disk and tape storage arrays and libraries
  • Technical knowledge and proficiency with SUN Servers, IBM pSeries and iSeries, DELL and HP Servers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain priorities
  • Minimum 2-year experience in a role involving direct customer contact (internal and external customers)
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Must be a self-motivated team player and able to immediately contribute to a fast paced, deadline intensive environment
  • Proficiency in Windows based applications, WORD and EXCEL
  • Must be able to create and manipulate reports in EXCEL
  • Must have strong organization skills
  • Must have an insured vehicle, possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background check
  • Must be able to work weekends, shift and/or rotational schedule as required
  • A+ and N+ Certification a plus
  • C#, visual basic, MS access, or relevant programing language a plus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide server, hardware diagnosis and repair
  • Installation and configuration of servers in a large Data Center environment
  • Provide onsite service to meet 24x7 SLA
  • Organize and distribute call load
  • Create and maintain reports as needed
